With the breakout of fire on July 2 and the resulting “Tunnel 5 Fire” we are monitoring the situation hourly.

 

First, the race is STILL HAPPENING.

Secondly, Stevenson is upwind and 14 miles from the fires/highway 14 closure. We have contingencies in place for an alternate course (this includes the original triangle course) as we have clear air in Stevenson and minimal impact on transport.

Third, we plan to make the call of final race course the morning of Friday July 7 and will announce on the site and via Facebook/Instagram
